Promoting Personal and Professional Development: Utilizing the Cultivating SEEDS System™ is the primary textbook being utilized in the completion of a course towards an Associate Degree in Human Services. HUS 270 – Personal and Professional Development II is a Capstone course and aims to equip students with the necessary tools and skill building techniques to increase their competences in self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, relationship management and healthy decision-making as they advance in their careers as a human services practitioner. This course utilizes the Cultivating SEEDS System™ Framework which includes the RUMERTIME Process™, an innovative, culturally responsive, and practical problem-solving strategy that equips students with the ability to help individuals in their homes, school, workplaces and communities effectively recognize, understand, manage, express and reflect life’s challenges and stressors.
